Steve Wystrach, Director, Robert Manry Project, will present "Manry at Sea: In the Wake of a Dream," highlighting the remarkable story of the Clevelander who, in 1965, made a solo voyage across the Atlantic in his 13.5 foot sailboat, Tinkerbelle. The event, held in partnership with Octavofest and The Common Reading Experience, will be held on Tuesday, October 29 from noon to 1:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Michael Schwartz Library.
The presentation will include footage from Wystrach's documentary film trailer, Tinkerbelle Sails the Atlantic, photos surrounding the epic voyage, and the tale of how one man realized his improbable dream. Following the presentation, guests can play the life-size board game "Atlantic Adventure Race Game," peruse the Library exhibit "Adventure on the Atlantic: One Man's Voyage" , and enjoy refreshments.
The event is free and open to the general community. First-year students enrolled in ASC 101: Introduction to University Life must register here to attend.
