Octavofest 2012 Events at the Michael Schwartz Library

The Cleveland State University Michael Schwartz Library, Cleveland Public Library, and the Ohio Center for the Book, along with other founding partners Art Books Cleveland and the Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation, have teamed up to present the fourth annualOctavofest, a month-long series of events in October to call attention to the book and paper arts. Below are the events hosted by the Michael Schwartz Library:

  • Music in the Library: Books, Records, CDs, Scores, Photo Archive and more!
    October 1 - October 31
    Michael Schwartz Library, 1st floor
    See this display of selected books, CDs, records, music scores and photos from the Michael Schwartz Library.
  • Domesday
    October 1 - October 31
    Michael Schwartz Library, 3rd floor

    An exhibit containing Domesday books and maps depicting William the Conqueror's great survey of England of 1086. Available for viewing during regular library hours.

Be sure not to miss the following exhibitions in the new Art Gallery at Cleveland State University running through October 20th:

  • Jennie Jones: A Photographic Legacy for Cleveland State University
    South Gallery
    An exhibition of selected works by celebrated Cleveland photographer Jennie Jones.
  • Full-Time Studio Art Faculty Show
    North Gallery
    The first faculty group exhibition in 15 years featuring current full time art faculty.
  • Teaching Staff Exhibition
    Center Gallery
    Including works by past and present full and part-time teaching staff.

The Art Gallery at CSU is located at the Cowell and Hubbard Buidling at 1307 Euclid Avenue.
