Protect Your Laptop With FrontDoorSoftware

2012-02-09 09:56:38

Cleveland State University has partnered with FrontDoorSoftware to provide a free laptop theft-prevention and tracking package to CSU faculty, staff, and students.

In the event your laptop is stolen, FrontDoorSoftware allows you to remotely send a lockdown code to prevent the computer from being used, produce an audible anti-theft alert, display a "stolen computer" message, and track the laptop's approximate location through Google Maps. The service requires a one-time registration and software installation.

For more information, visit the IS&T homepage or the CSU FrontDoorSoftware website.

Help discourage theft by remembering never to leave your laptop or other valuables unattended in the Library or anywhere else on campus.
