"d.a. levy & the 1960s Literary & Cultural Scene in Cleveland: a Symposium & Celebration" October 29 & 30th, 2005

The CSU Library, in collaboration with The CSU Poetry Center, Trinity Cathedral, Bottom Dog Press, deepcleveland llc, Mac's Backs Books and supported by the Ohio Humanities Council are sponsoring a two day event to celebrate and explore the work of poet d. a. levy and the 1960's literary & cultural scene in Cleveland. The weekend-long event will include an assortment of activities, including panel discussions, film showings, poetry readings, exhibits and more. All events are free and open to the public. As part of the celebration, CSU Library Special Collections will present an exhibit of d.a. levy materials, from the Library's d.a. levy Collection. The exhibit will acknowledge levy's historical significance as an innovator in Cleveland's poetry & alternative press scene. levy's own works of poetry and art along with selected works of his contemporaries, will be on display in the Special Collections room, located in RT321 from mid-October through the end of November.
