Library Workshop -- Improve your citation skills

Now that March Madness is over, come join us for some CITATION MADNESS!

We all know that citations can be maddening, therefore the Michael Schwartz Library will conduct a workshop that will help you score high marks for correctly citing your sources by improving your citation skills!

The workshop will be held on April 21, 2010 at 3 p.m. in RT 502.

Topics to be covered will include:

• The importance of citing
• How to properly cite
• How to use many of the citation formatters available, such as RefWorks, ISI/EndNote, OLinks, EBSCO, and more

This workshop is open to all students, faculty, and staff. There will be light refreshments and door prizes.

Celebrate National Library Week with an Ice Cream Social, Book Sale, and More

National Library Week is an annual celebration of the contributions of our nation’s libraries and library staff. In honor of this week, the Michael Schwartz Library will host the following events:

• Ice Cream Social - Monday April 12, 2010 at 12 p.m. 1st floor of the Library
  Join us as we kick off the week with the National Library Week Proclamation and enjoy some ice cream.
• National Library Worker’s Day - Tuesday April 13, 2010
  National Library Worker’s Day is a time to honor the contributions of all library workers, librarians, support staff, and others who make library services possible.
• Friends of the Michael Schwartz Library Annual Local Authors Book Talk - Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 3 p.m. RT 503
  
  
  Mary Doria Russell, winner of nine national and international literary awards, will visit Cleveland State University's Michael Schwartz Library on April 14, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. to discuss her book Dreamers of the Day and to give a preview of her new project Eight to Five, Against. More about this event.
• Book Sale - Thursday April 15, 2010 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 1st floor of the Library
  Get great deals on hardbacks and paperbacks at the Friends of the Michael Schwartz Library book sale.
