Join the Festivities--Commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of Lafayette's birth
The Marquis de Lafayette turns 250 on September 6th.
Join us in the library on Thursday, September 6th from noon to 1 :30 on the first floor of the Library to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the Marquis de Lafayette (1757-2007)
There will be:
- Free birthday cake
- An appearance by the Marquis himself
- Representatives of the Sons of the American Revolution Color guard
- A chance to win a new book about Lafayette by taking a quiz testing your knowledge of the Marquis
- Free commemorative mementos honoring Lafayette and calling attention to the important Lafayette archive housed in the Cleveland State Library Special Collections
Event sponsored by the Cleveland State University Library and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The event is free and open to the Campus Community. Call 216-875-9734 for more information.

Join the celebration of our nation's heritage by participating in Cleveland State University's Constitution Day events! Special events and activities to recognize the importance of the U.S. Constitution include:

OhioLINK Adds Thousands of Scholarly E-Books, Opens E-Book Center
These new e-books are available as part of the new Electronic Book Center. Similar in concept to the Electronic Journal Center, the E-Book Center will allow you to find and utilize e-books from multiple publishers using one common interface. Currently, the E-Book Center contains 5,000 e-books from Oxford University Press and Springer. Additional e-books and e-book collections will be added, including the Electronic Reference Books collection. Links to OhioLINK’s other e-book collections are available from the E-Book Center’s home page.
Books in the E-Book Center will also be accessible from the OhioLINK Library Catalog. Records are being added for the new e-books.

Electronic Course Reserves--Fall Semester 2007
If you would like any materials previously on Electronic Reserve to be reactivated for this Fall, please tell us now. Otherwise, all course materials from the previous semester, including books, must be removed from reserve in order to comply with Copyright Law. Any personal copies on reserve will be returned to you.
Because materials put up on ECR must meet federal guidelines for accessibility, it is important for you to provide good quality originals so that they can be scanned effectively. Please refer to the Library’s ECR Faculty Help Guide for further information.
•Submit materials for reserve now so they will be up by August 25
•Submit good quality originals. Electronic files are welcomed
