New Arabic materials from Cleveland Public Library
In support of the new Middle East Studies program at Cleveland State, the Library has recieved materials from Cleveland Public Library all written in Arabic. The materials include fiction, non-fiction, media items and periodicals. The items are located on the first floor of the Library near the display area. These materials may be checked out with a CPL greater access card at the CPL@CSU self check out machine. If you do not have a greater access card, please apply for one at the User Services Desk.
EPIC/PEP math enhancement activities and tutoring service is coming to the Library
Starting Monday, September 25, 2006 the EPIC/PEP program will be in the Library in RT 402. This program provides enhancement activities and tutoring for students needing help with their math courses. Assistance will be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:30-5:00 p.m., Tuesdays from 3:00-8:00 p.m., and Thursdays from 1:00-6:00 p.m.

Live Gubernatorial Candidate Debate about Education
On Wednesday, September 20 th , the two candidates for Ohio Governor will be in Cleveland, participating in a one-hour debate concerning education. One of the primary focuses for Democrat Ted Strickland and Republican Ken Blackwell will be the rising cost of tuition in higher education. The University Library will broadcast the debate live at 12 noon in the Library Connection Lounge in Rhodes Tower.

OhioLINK reports that problems with remote authentication have been fixed. Off-campus users should be able to access OhioLINK databases with the proper login.
Problems Using OhioLINK Databases from Off-Campus
You may be experiencing difficulties logging on to OhioLINK databases from off-campus. OhioLINK has reported state-wide problems authenticating users and is currently working on a solution.
If you wish to use OhioLINK databases from off-campus, we suggest that you access the databases directly from the University Library's website and not from the OhioLINK website.

Richard Fox, Head of the Popular Library at Cleveland Public Library, will lead a book discussion on the title, The Year of Magical Thinking, by Joan Didion, a master essayist and great American novelist.

Several copies of the Year of Magical Thinking are now available at the CSU Library and on sale at the CSU Bookstore.
