Start Fresh @ Cleveland Public Library

September is "fine free" with a "no questions asked" amnesty period at Cleveland Public Library. You remove the embarrassment and fear of paying large fines as obstacles to the return of long-overdue materials. Materials returned need to be in good condition; no questions will be asked nor fines charged.

The purpose of the amnesty is to promote the return of needed Library materials, to promote the increased use of the Library, and to prepare patrons for a materials recovery program set to begin in October. The amnesty does not include overdue fines still on record from previously returned materials.

For patrons who owe fines or fees on previously returned materials, we will make it easy for you to START FRESH. Pay 50% of the balance, and the remaining 50% will be waived, with the exception of lost items that belong to other CLEVNET libraries and process fees from other CLEVNET libraries.

For questions about the "Start Fresh" amnesty rules, please contact the Lending Department at Main Library: (216) 623-2872.
